The Council of Ministers of the Union State of Russia and Belarus has decided to abolish roaming between the countries in 2025. Officials signed a resolution "On creating comfortable tariffs for the use of communication services and data transmission in the territory of the Union State (abolition of roaming)."
New tariffs for telephone calls and data transmission on the Internet should come into force on March 1, 2025. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the conditions would be comparable to the tariffs in the home network, which will allow subscribers to reduce costs and communicate with each other more often.
In addition, the parties adopted a resolution "On the status of products of Belarusian and Russian manufacturers as 'goods of the Union State'." A document was also developed regarding the strategy for forming a common information space.
