The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec Group) has for the first time in Russia manufactured a PD-35 demonstrator engine with a thrust of 35 tons to test the maturity of key technologies for their use in the production of power plants. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The first stage of testing was hastily carried out on an open stand with multiple provision of exit and take-off mode.
The obtained parameters and characteristics of the engine exceeded the forecast values and confirmed the correctness of the selected technical solutions. This allows us to begin developing advanced domestic high-thrust power plants.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UEC demonstrated parts of the PD-35 engine made using 3D printing.
