The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation intends to introduce the possibility of distance learning in driving schools. The order has been published on the portal of federal draft regulatory legal acts.
According to the document, driving schools will begin to create new training programs for driver candidates from September 1, 2025. The initiative will be implemented to improve the quality of training.
First of all, we are talking about bringing the training process in line with the changes made in recent years to the Traffic Regulations (PPD).
The educational process is allowed to use state information systems that operate through authorization on the "Gosuslugi" portal. This approach allows you to record student attendance and performance.
The order will supplement the training process with new changes made in recent years to the Traffic Regulations. For example, they will introduce familiarization with the term "dangerous driving" and electronic documents. Another innovation is the redistribution of the training load - 42 hours will be allocated to driving in the city instead of the current 38.
The new changes will save the financial and time resources of driving schools. It is also expected that the cost of driving training will be reduced.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in the fall of 2024, the cost of training in driving schools in Russia may increase by 30-50%.
