Майнинг — всё: добычу криптовалюты скоро запретят в некоторых российских регионах, испытывающих дефицит электроэнергии

Restrictions are expected to take effect in regions with power shortages

In the near future, a ban on mining will be introduced at the state level in some regions of Russia. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Evgeny Grabchak, at the RBC Tech forum.

He noted that the reason for this decision is the shortage of electricity in regions such as the Far East, southwestern Siberia, and southern Russia, where large capacities cannot be provided until 2030.

Grabchak emphasized that "mining is a precursor to digitalization," but in conditions of electricity shortages, its activities will be limited. He also pointed out the existence of "deficit zones" where such restrictions will be particularly relevant.

Additionally, it is worth noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin recently signed a law that regulates the circulation of digital currency. This law, which comes into force on November 1, gives the government the authority to impose bans on digital currency mining in certain regions or in individual territories. The new legislation may also restrict participation in mining pools, which also reflects the state's intention to control and limit this activity.

Thus, the measures taken by the government are aimed at managing energy resources and reducing the load on power grids in regions with a shortage of electricity.
