Employees of MIPT, together with medical colleagues, have created a unique rehabilitation system that opens up new horizons in the treatment of patients. Patients can use it at home, all they need is a laptop or computer.
Specialized software is able to determine the patient's movements, recognize errors in the performance of exercises and correct them, adapt the load, as well as collect and transmit patient data to a rehabilitation physician.
The developers have provided the following algorithm for working with the online medical rehabilitation system: the user installs the application on a computer or phone and registers in the system. Then he chooses a rehabilitation specialist from the list of doctors.
After the patient's identity is confirmed, he is given access to a list of exercises that were developed by the doctor specifically for restoring health, taking into account the characteristics of a particular clinical case.
When the patient begins to perform these exercises, the system monitors his actions in real time and reports possible errors. Information about the progress of the training and the collected statistical data are available to both the patient and his attending physician.
It is planned that a prototype of the system will be presented in six months.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian scientists have developed a home express diagnostics system for urine and blood on a smartphone. To do this, the user will only need a set with test strips and a smartphone with a camera. Special elements on the device for determining color will allow the phone to read information. The results of such analyzes are highly accurate.
