Specialists of JSC "LOMO" (part of the Kalashnikov concern) are modernizing the Maugli-2 and Maugli-2M thermal imagers, taking into account the experience of their use in combat operations. This was reported in the press service of the concern.
The company's engineers have completed field tests of a new modification of the Maugli-2 sight. The device has confirmed the specified technical characteristics.
"Maugli-2" and "Maugli-2M" allow you to detect a target, track it and conduct firing in night and day conditions. Suitable for man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS).
The press service of the concern noted that night vision devices have become 2 times lighter, their dimensions have decreased. At the same time, the target detection range has increased, and it has become possible to integrate the sight into the target designation system.
