In applications for scooter rentals, they want to oblige users to present their biometric data. The conditions of the new experiment are still being discussed.
The user will not be able to start the trip if he is "sitting" under someone else's account. The system will verify the photo from the application with the image of the account holder. If the images do not match, the service will be denied.
The new rule is planned to be introduced from the next season.
It is worth noting that the authorities are inventing more and more tools to reduce accidents involving drivers of personal mobility devices (PMD). In some areas of Moscow, electric scooters have begun to slow down.
In addition, the kicksharing service Whoos now conducts preliminary tests of users to determine the speed of their reactions in a special application. If the tasks before the trip are performed incorrectly, the PMD speed is reduced to 15 km/h.
