«Битва роботов» в Екатеринбурге: загорелись три робота-участника турнира

The competition even had to be interrupted due to the fires, but in the end, the 16 finalists of the stage were still determined

The second qualifying stage of the international technology show "Battle of Robots" has concluded at the "Yekaterinburg Expo" arena. Engineers from five countries and nineteen regions of Russia presented robots in various categories on the ring today: youth robots weighing up to 1.5 kg and heavyweights, assembled by adult teams, weighing up to 110 kg.

The fights were intense. There were some incidents: two robots caught fire on stage, and another one ignited in the technical zone. сотрудники МЧС, who were on duty at the event, quickly dealt with the fires, but the tournament stage had to be interrupted for a short time.

However, overall the tournament stage was successful, and its sixteen finalists were chosen.

The winners of the second qualifying round in the category of mini-robots up to 1.5 kg are exclusively from Russia:

  • Atomic Team, Брянск;
  •  U235, Sverdlovsk region, Novouralsk;
  •  APACHI, Tyumen region, Kazanskoye;
  •  FoxyKids, Republic of Tatarstan, Innopolis;
  • ProBOT, Moscow region, Malakhovka;
  •  «Техно-Дайнемикс», Moscow region, Pavlovskaya Sloboda;
  •  «Технократы», Moscow region, Pavlovskaya Sloboda.

Among the winners in the category of heavyweight robots up to 110 kg are teams from Russia, China, Iran, and India. These are:

  • Daddy Bots, Saint Petersburg; 
  • ВЕБЕР ЛАБС, Moscow; 
  • Lavan Team, Kerman, Iran; 
  • Energy, Saint Petersburg;
  •  «Зверобой», Perm; 
  • Energy girls, Saint Petersburg; 
  • SOLARBOT, Moscow region, Balashikha; 
  • Ice Orange, Harbin, China; 
  • PY Roboticsz, Puducherry, India.

At the end of the year, the winners of the second stage will meet with the finalists of the first stage, which has already taken place in Moscow, and will compete for a prize fund of 6.6 million rubles. The Moscow first qualifying round brought 16 teams from Russia, Belarus, and China to the final.
