Sollers will produce school buses for Russian children in Vladivostok.
This is the first bus in many years designed exclusively for transporting schoolchildren, and not adapted for it. However, as Motor.ru notes, Sollers SB is not a domestic novelty, but a regular Chinese localization of Ankai 8M. The bus is designed for 30 people: a driver, an attendant and 28 children.
The Sollers SB has a frame structure and a frame-panel body. Inside, you can find air conditioning and a heater. The bus received a five-speed manual gearbox, and a Weichai four-cylinder diesel engine with a volume of 3.66 liters and a power of 130 hp. The speed of the Sollers SB is relatively modest: a maximum of 80 km/h.
The timing of the first deliveries and the pilot region for equipping school specialized buses have not yet been announced.
