New motorcycle sales in Russia grew for the first time since 2014

Russians purchased 58% more motorcycles than last year

Fans of two-wheeled vehicles in Russia are actively buying up motorcycles. In the first nine months of this year, 39,218 new motorcycles were sold, which is 58% more compared to the same period in 2023. This is a new record.

According to Dmitry Smolyakov, Head of Motorcycle Distribution at KTM, the demand for this type of vehicle is due to high market potential. He said that Chinese companies have begun to take the place of the departed European and Japanese brands in the motorcycle market. Russians are not embarrassed by this, and they buy their products as well.

In recent years, Chinese brands have dominated our market: Voge, Benelli, Benda, Zontes, QJMotor, and others.

It is worth recalling that the previous record for motorcycle purchases was set in 2014. At that time, 30,227 two-wheeled vehicles with internal combustion engines were sold.
