The «Rus-PE» loitering munition, developed by specialists from the «Kalashnikov» concern, can be integrated into the fire control system of armored vehicles. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport.
According to him, the corresponding issue is currently being worked out. «Rus-PE» will increase the firepower of the equipment, Mikheev added.
The Russian loitering munition will be shown at the exhibition from February 8 to 12 in Saudi Arabia. «Rus-PE» is «an absolute world novelty», which is distinguished by the presence of a homing head (HHS). With its help, the ammunition is used in autonomous mode, the head of Rosoboronexport emphasized.
Artificial intelligence algorithms embedded in the product allow detecting and identifying small-sized targets on the ground. To strike, «Rus-PE» does not need calculation, one operator is enough, Mikheev summarized.
