The Russian Rossa car, which will have a racing version and a version for public roads, was spotted at the recently concluded International Automotive Scientific Forum in Moscow. The creator of the Rossa series of cars is the world-famous Russian pilot, sports director of the G-Drive Racing team, Roman Rusinov.
The racing car is based on a monocoque (seamless, frameless structure) made of carbon fiber with an integrated fuel tank. Thanks to the unique suspension, made according to the push-road scheme, the driver can change the ride height.
It is known that the Rossa LM GT running concept, weighing 1100 kg, has a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine with 680 "horses" inside, paired with a robotic gearbox. It provides acceleration from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.2 seconds. The declared maximum speed of the supercar is 380 kilometers per hour.
It was stated that the production car will have a sequential gearbox with a single clutch and a V10 engine from Judd with 800 hp, which weighs less than the current engine and will make the car lighter.
The racing version of Rossa was first shown at the end of 2023 as part of the "New Product of the Year" automotive award from Auto.ru. It was assumed that the first racing Rossas would be ready in 2024-2025, and copies for driving on ordinary roads and highways — no earlier than 2026. The price for such a car was called at least 500-800 thousand euros, or more than 48 million rubles.
In February 2024, photos of the supercar assembly appeared on the Web, but the Moscow Polytechnic University, which was originally involved in its design, reported that the pictures were old. The institution also noted that they had left the project, transferring a copy of the car to the customer.
Later, a new Rossa design was presented, which received a number of ventilation slots in the center instead of two rows in the original version. The rear wing was replaced with a low, almost invisible one, the aerodynamic body kit was changed, and the mounting points for the side mirrors were moved to the wings.
But, despite the fact that the developers said at the beginning of 2024 that "a new iteration of the design is almost ready," the original running version of the supercar concept appeared at the October IASF-2024 at the stand.
