The latest T-72B3M tanks of the 2022 model with factory-made anti-cumulative "visors" based on zigzag-shaped two-layer "packages" were spotted at a training ground in the Leningrad Region. They provide defocusing of cumulative jets of anti-tank grenades dropped from drones.
The armored vehicles are equipped with the most far-sighted "Sosna-U" multi-channel gunner sights with a target detection range of "tank/BMP" type at night up to 5-5.5 km.
The tankers practiced hitting targets with direct fire at a distance of up to 2 km. The gunners searched for targets using the day channel of "Sosna-U" and fired from a 7.62-mm PKTM and a standard 125-mm 2A46M-5 gun.
The gunners also used armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot projectiles 3BM15 "Zakolka" with armor penetration of 400 mm. These projectiles are capable of overcoming the frontal armor barriers of the turret and hull of the T-72M1 MBT at a distance of 1500 - 1700 m.
But the main ammunition load of the 2A46M-5 gun is the latest BOPs 3BM60 "Svinets-2" with armor penetration of 780-800 mm of steel equivalent at a distance of up to 2000 m.
Earlier www1.ru reported that footage of the latest КамАЗ-43269 «Выстрел», which was spotted on the front line, had appeared. The armored vehicle is notable for its versatility in terms of installing combat modules.
