A video has emerged of the Su-34NVO fighter performing energy maneuvering at transonic and subsonic speeds of 0.75 - 0.95M, executing anti-missile maneuvers.
Such performance with a takeoff weight of up to 36 tons after dropping six R-77-1 guided missiles weighing 1140 kg fits into individual episodes of long-range air combat and medium-range combat between the Su-34NVO and enemy tactical aviation with similar onboard radar parameters (AN/APG-66(V)2 and RDY-2, installed on F-16AM and Mirage-2000-5F fighters, noted military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
For long-range combat with F-16C Block 40/52+ equipped with AESA radars AN/APG-83 SABR and AIM-120D missiles, machines such as the Su-30SM/1/2 and Su-35S are already needed.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces has been replenished with a captured American machine М88А2 Hercules.
