During the "tests" of the updated Lada Niva Travel model, the magazine "Behind the Wheel" discovered something interesting under the hood of the car: sensors made in Russia. Among them are a throttle position sensor, an oxygen sensor, and a mass air flow sensor.
In addition, the car is equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS), also of Russian production. In the future, the SUV may also be equipped with an electronic stability program (ESP) from Russian manufacturers.
A power steering reservoir and a new engine control unit have also appeared. The engine control unit, like the reservoir, is produced in Russia by the company "Itelma". The accessory drive belt and the air conditioning compressor belt are from AvtoVAZ, while the air conditioning compressor belt is from Hola, also of Russian production.
As a reminder, AvtoVAZ has upgraded the Lada Niva Travel SUV with new options and revised a number of trim levels. For example, in the Comfort trim level, the engine now meets the "Euro-5" environmental class, whereas previously it was only "Euro-2".
