The head of the Rostec State Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, said that AvtoVAZ has started testing an electric version of the LADA Aura. According to him, internal combustion engines are a thing of the past.
Testing of the electric version of the flagship LADA Aura sedan is underway. It is obvious that internal combustion engines are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past.
He did not provide any details, only reminding that AvtoVAZ also started production of LADA e-Largus at the end of September. This car has more than 50% of domestically produced parts. The electric Largus has a range of 400 kilometers.
It is worth recalling that the domestic automobile giant continues to experiment with electric traction. Thus, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an electric LADA Niva Travel was shown. The car will not go into production, the range is too small – only 175 kilometers.
