В Ульяновской области перезапущен один из крупных российских заводов промышленных лакокрасочных материалов

The plant's products, as part of the "Litum" Group, will be useful in shipbuilding, the chemical industry, and other sectors

Until July 2023, this full-cycle enterprise with maximum production automation and modern high-tech equipment was part of the Danish concern Hempel. When the concern left Russia, the asset in the "Zavolzhye" industrial park went to the Yekaterinburg group of companies "Litum". The enterprise was re-launched, and the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, Alexey Russkikh, familiarized himself with its operation.

The plant has been re-launched, and new suppliers of raw materials and components have been found – companies from China and Turkey. It is planned to reach production capacity by the end of the year. Today, the enterprise employs about 60 people who worked there previously. There are plans to increase the staff to 120-130 people. We will support and assist in finding potential counterparties, expand sales markets, and use connections with friendly countries to promote products that will be in demand, primarily by the construction industry of the Ulyanovsk Region.
Alexey Russkikh, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region

After the re-launch, the plant is operating at full capacity: the lines for the production of paint and varnish products, raw material and finished product warehouses, and the laboratory are functioning.

GC "Litum" is the largest Russian manufacturer of industrial, marine, and powder coatings, as well as coatings for coil coating and automobiles.

It is the successor to the global paint and varnish companies Jotun (enterprise in the Leningrad Region), Hempel (in the Ulyanovsk Region), and PPG (enterprises in the Lipetsk Region and Kolomna). "Litum" produces 100 thousand tons of products per year.
