A unique offer for collectors has appeared in Yekaterinburg — a fully restored 1990 Soviet IZh-27151-01 pickup truck, better known by its export name Elite Pickup. The rare vehicle is priced at 1.5 million rubles.
This model has a special history: it was developed by special order of a Finnish dealer and was intended exclusively for export. Because of the characteristic elongated shape of the body, perfectly suited for transporting long and light cargo, the vehicle received the unofficial nickname "banana carrier".
Technically, the pickup remained faithful to the original: it has rear-wheel drive, a 4-speed manual transmission, and a 1.5-liter engine producing 75 horsepower.
Such vehicles are a great rarity today, since in the USSR pickup trucks were practically never sold freely to private owners, and the overwhelming majority of export vehicles remained abroad.
