The multipurpose corvette "Gremyashchiy" (Project 20385) of the Pacific Fleet completed its tasks during a long-range deployment in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR) and returned to its permanent base. This was reported by the fleet's press service.
The corvette's crew put to sea in early October. During this time, "Gremyashchiy" passed through 14 seas and took part in the Myanmar Navy exercise "Marumex-2025" in the Bay of Bengal.
Sailors of the Pacific Fleet made a business call at the ports of Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Brunei. In the Kuril area, during exercises, "Gremyashchiy" searched for a submarine and repelled a UAV attack by a mock enemy.
Captain 2nd Rank Konstantin Livinets stated that after completing the assigned tasks, the ship returned to its home port. For the corvette, this was "one of the longest and most eventful deployments", the Pacific Fleet press service added.
