The gun was put into mass production almost half a century ago

The allegedly new towed howitzer "Bohdana-BG" turned out to be a modernized Soviet 2A36 "Hyacinth-B" gun. This model was launched into mass production almost 50 years ago.

Instead of a 152-mm gun, the developers installed a 155-mm barrel transferred from abroad. At the same time, during the "demonstration of the novelty, the muzzle brake was covered with tarpaulin. Apparently, the "novelty" has not yet been properly worked out.

The Bohdana installation was developed back in 2018. The firing range of the howitzer with a barrel length of 52 calibers is about 40 km. The prototype of the installation received a KrAZ chassis, and during small-scale production, the howitzer is installed on the basis of a Tatra truck.

Earlier www1.ru reported that an improved BTR-82A with increased armor protection was developed in Russia. The vehicle is armed with a 2A72 30 mm caliber gun and is capable of withstanding the impact of B-32 armor-piercing bullets.
