Для реставрации произведений искусства: в Санкт-Петербурге создали робота-художника

He is able to paint pictures in different techniques

A robot painter has been developed at the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI". This was announced by Artur Karimov, Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of LETI.

The robot artist can apply strokes of various lengths, widths and curves to the canvas. This significantly expands its functionality, it is able to paint pictures with strokes of different thicknesses and shapes, repeat the style of the artist, and it can also write in calligraphic handwriting.
Artur Karimov, Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of LETI

The development has no analogues in the world. The creators of the robot plan to use it to restore works of art.

The robot looks like an arm with a brush moving in three-dimensional space. Its capabilities have already been tested in the recreation of paintings by Impressionist artists.

In the future, we will work on integrating the latest version of the robotic arm and the previously created paint mixer to "add color" to its new abilities.

Strokes of different lengths and shapes are applied to the host using a specially developed mathematical model.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a batch of Courier assault robots went to the Russian army.
