Before the end of the year, representatives of the State Duma factions and deputy chairmen of the lower house of parliament will begin using Aurus cars. This was announced by Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the State Duma.
Seven such vehicles will be delivered to the Duma. According to Volodin, two deputy chairmen of the State Duma, namely Alexander Zhukov and Ivan Melnikov, are already using cars of this brand.
17 committee chairmen will switch to Lada Aura cars.
At the end of December, Volodin announced that the first domestic cars, Lada Vesta, had arrived in the State Duma garage. The Speaker of the State Duma noted that the replacement of the car fleet with Russian cars will take place gradually, as foreign cars wear out.
According to the speaker, deputies will be provided with cars of the brands "Moskvich", Lada and Aurus. At the same time, Volodin himself uses an Aurus car, and in his free time he drives a "Moskvich-3".
As a reminder, at the beginning of this year, an Aurus car was assigned to Volodin. His 11 deputies, as well as the leaders of the Duma factions, will drive cars of the same brand.
Earlier it became known that the authorities of the Samara region are selling off old foreign cars and switching to domestic auto industry. The first 22 Lada Vesta cars have arrived in the government's car park.
