The "High-Precision Systems" holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has transferred a new batch of "Pantsir-S" SAM systems to the balance of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The vehicles were manufactured ahead of schedule.
The improved version of the "Pantsir-S" has received modifications that have improved the effectiveness of the SAM system against UAVs, missiles, and shells. The results of the combat use of the complex showed the correctness of the previously made design decisions.
Industrial Director of the Rostec weapons cluster, Bekkhan Ozdoev, noted that the system successfully shoots down complex targets with low radar signature, such as high-precision shells from multiple launch rocket systems and stealthy Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
Destroying such a typical target as an F-16 will not be difficult for the "Pantsir". Currently, the state corporation has established production at an accelerated pace. In addition, according to Ozdoev, Rostec continues to work on creating new versions of the vehicles.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that Russian combat helicopters have turned into drone mothers for destroying kamikaze boats in the Black Sea. They have become carriers of copters, simplifying their launch and significantly increasing the range of combat use.
