The company "Quartz Crystal Technologies" is launching a quartz glass production facility in Solnechnogorsk. The products are planned to be used in instrument engineering, optical equipment, and microelectronics. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Science of the Moscow Region.
The company plans to release the first serial product - tooling for silicon structures in microelectronics - in the first quarter of 2025.
A training center for qualified specialists and an R&D center for the development of new glass alloys will also appear on the territory of the new enterprise. The new equipment will allow for an integrated approach to product development.
The launch of quartz glass production is another important step towards ensuring the technological independence of domestic microelectronics manufacturers.
