The fourth frigate of Project 22350, "Admiral Isakov," was launched at the "Severnaya Verf" (part of USC) in St. Petersburg. The solemn ceremony was attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Alexander Moiseev.
The frigate "Admiral Isakov" became the fourth ship in the series. The project's frigates have practically confirmed all the characteristics incorporated in them.
These multi-purpose ships are capable of solving tasks both in the near and far sea zones of the world's oceans. Project 22350 frigates are equipped with the most modern weapons, including hypersonic weapons.
To date, the Russian Navy has received three Project 22350 frigates: the lead ship "Admiral Gorshkov" and two serial ships. The first of them is a carrier of "Zircon" hypersonic missiles. Five more ships of this project are under construction at the "Severnaya Verf". All ships are standard carriers of "Kalibr-NK" and/or "Onyx" cruise missiles.
Moiseev added that the multi-purpose frigates of Project 22350, armed with hypersonic weapons, will form the basis of the strike groups of the Northern and Pacific Fleets.
The arrival of Project 22350 frigates into the Northern and Pacific Fleets is a significant increase in the power of the groups in which they are used. This is primarily determined by the armament, the frigate's weapons. And we proceed from the fact that these ships are the basis of the fleets' strike groups. A significant increase.
Main characteristics of Project 22350: displacement - 5000 tons, length - 135 m, width - 16 m, cruising range - 4500 miles, speed - up to 29 knots, endurance - 30 days, crew - from 170 people.
Earlier it became known that Russian soldiers rebuilt T-55, T-62 and T-72 tanks into armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles.
