Tatyana Kim spoke about trends in logistics

Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim (formerly Bakalchuk) spoke at the plenary session of the International Digital Technology Forum "Digital Transformation". In her speech, Kim highlighted three main trends in logistics for the coming years: automation, robotics and environmental friendliness.

According to her, robotics is becoming a necessity, as the need for human assistance increases with the growth and development of warehouse infrastructure. She emphasized that this is not about replacing the workforce, but about developing and using new technologies that will help cope with increased workloads.

Environmental friendliness is the second key factor that Kim drew attention to. She noted the importance of the ESG sector in large companies. All technical breakthroughs are carried out taking into account environmental aspects - from calculating energy savings to recycling used products.

The third trend that Kim spoke about is automation. She focused in more detail on a new project that was launched in the merged company Wildberries and Russ - WB Automation. Tatyana said that the company began to offer warehouse automation services, including accelerating the transportation of goods using robots and conveyor systems. In the near future, Wildberries plans to automate more than 20 new warehouses and equip existing ones with advanced equipment. This will improve the speed and efficiency of delivery for buyers, simplify the process of receiving goods for sellers and give partners access to new technologies to develop their business. Kim also noted that the e-commerce industry creates opportunities for millions of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, as well as logistics companies and warehouse operators to earn money.
