Innovative Russian solutions for maritime cargo transportation were presented at the Moscow International Digital Technology Forum in Transport and Logistics "Digital Transportation - 2024". FESCO Transport Group is actively involved in them, and a vivid example of the application of such solutions is the Vladivostok Sea Trade Port, which is part of FESCO. The digital twin of the port simplifies mooring, and the neural network ensures order and helps protect the facility from incidents and threats on its territory.
We launched "Safe Port" last year. Our port uses video analytics, we determine geometry, hazardous areas, PPE, in order to quickly and efficiently identify all kinds of incidents and accidents and minimize risks associated with industrial safety.
Digital profiles of port workers are uploaded into the system, and the neural network recognizes and analyzes them. It will indicate to the security service if someone else tries to enter the territory, or violates the operating mode of the facility. It recognizes fake mustaches, beards, wigs and other elements of identity change, determining the gender, age and other data of a person in front of the cameras.
Forum participants could test the development on themselves.
We can even recognize a person by silhouette, for example, specify in the [search] parameters a person dressed in black on top, in red on the bottom, and find such people. We use biometrics, and this allows us to recognize people and quickly resolve incidents. Previously, it took a month or more, now 5-10 minutes, because searching [data] in the archive took time.
The port also uses solutions that are new to Russia: digital mooring, a digital twin of the port.
We use digital mooring to model the approach of ships, and, accordingly, to understand how much cargo there will be, when it will arrive and which ships we will unload. The system shows the location of all assets in real time: we can at any time see the approach of ships, the display of containers, warehouses, and so on. This is a completely Russian development, it had no analogues in Russia, "Intellectica" acted as our partner.
Earlier it became known that not only digital ports will appear in Russia, but also digital bridges over rivers. The first of them in the city of Ust-Kut will begin to be "built" as early as 2025.
