Lada maintains its leading position in the Russian passenger car leasing market. The new Lada e-Largus electric vehicle will be of interest to consumers, but demand will be determined by the final cost of the car, according to Anton Musatov, CEO of VTB Leasing.
The gasoline-powered Lada Largus is popular with VTB Leasing clients due to its technical and operational characteristics. In January-July 2024, we handed over 1.5 times more of these cars than in the first seven months of last year.
The company anticipates that Russians will also have a keen interest in the Lada e-Largus electric vehicle. Nevertheless, demand will largely depend on the final cost of the car, which will be known after the test batch goes on sale in September 2024.
As a reminder, the proportion of Russian-made components in the Lada e-Largus will exceed 50%. The range of the station wagon is 400 kilometers, and the car is fully adapted to Russian weather conditions. Production will be launched at the plant in Izhevsk at the end of the month.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that car services are facing a shortage of parts due to the increase in sales of used cars. The problem is particularly acute for owners of premium cars.
