The TM16 gas turbine engine of marine type will be assembled and tested before 2025. This was reported to journalists by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
TM16 should provide a planned replacement and modernization of the fleet of imported engines used at Gazprom facilities.
The engine will become the main drive for gas pumping units. Its power will be 16 MW, and the resource is declared at more than 100 thousand hours. The motor has improved environmental characteristics, especially when compared to foreign counterparts.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that NAMI is actively working on gas turbine engines that will be used in electric vehicles and in the oil and gas sector. In addition, the United Engine Corporation (UEC) is testing the first industrial gas turbine engine in Russia. Its power will be 25 MW.
