VK Video is launching a new monetization program for bloggers and content creators based on the Revenue Share model — a payment scheme for advertising where the advertiser shares a percentage of the revenue with the blogger. Original content creators will be able to receive 50 to 80% of the revenue from ads shown in their videos.
The program is aimed at those with more than 5,000 subscribers and applies to videos longer than two minutes that do not infringe copyright. About 70,000 creators will join the program in September, including new participants and those who have already participated in the previous program.
At the same time, the national video hosting service Rutube has also launched a new monetization system for bloggers. By creating a video network, content creators on Rutube receive views not only on the platform but also on thousands of sites, which increases their reach and revenue from advertising, including native brand integrations. This model benefits all participants: bloggers, advertisers, and website owners with an integrated video hosting player.
