In June, the Tutaev Motor Plant, a subsidiary of PJSC KAMAZ, created an improved 8801.10 diesel engine. It is currently undergoing testing as part of the Kirovets tractor.
In August, the Petersburg Tractor Plant successfully tested the Kirovets tractor equipped with a TMZ engine with improved characteristics. The next stage will be thermal tests of the tractor at the Volga Machine-Testing Station, which are scheduled for September.
The 8801.10 engine is equipped with an electronic control system and a Common Rail fuel system of accumulator type, developed in Russia. To improve the efficiency, reliability and durability of the engine, cast iron cylinder heads were installed on it. To reduce the load on the bearings, increase service life and simplify maintenance, the drive of the engine units - water pump, generator, air conditioning compressor - is carried out using poly-V belts with an automatic tensioner.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that KAMAZ launched the new generation K5 model. The truck is designed for regional transportation, it received a 390 horsepower engine and a 12-speed automated manual transmission.
