Representatives of PJSC "KAMAZ" met at the Scientific and Technical Center of the auto giant with a delegation from the Russian Union of the Tourism Industry, who were shown photographs of the future tourist bus.
The vehicle is being developed by order of Gazprom. It is a low-floor, single-volume vehicle. The bus index is 5222. It has a futuristic design for the driver's seat: a media system with a touchscreen, a digital instrument panel, and an unusual exterior — LED optics in the form of original headlights and taillights.
The NEFAZ-5222 bus was first presented in the fall of last year. Its tests are currently underway. They are in the final stage. The vehicle will be Russian-Chinese: a gas engine from Weichai, a gearbox from Fast Gear, and a rear axle from HanDe.
The tourism industry is interested in updating the fleet of bus equipment, especially with state money. It is planned to use the state preferential leasing program to purchase buses.
