The German IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system in the SLM and SLM modifications on the chassis of a two-section armored tracked transporter is unable to resist Russian means of destruction. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He suggested that the enemy would use these SAMs in a “roaming” mode, covering columns of reserves from Su-25SM3 attack aircraft, as well as Ka-52M and Mi-28NM helicopters. Therefore, one should expect their frequent destruction by 9M723-1 missiles of the Iskander-M complexes and the Lancet-3 kamikaze UAV.
At the same time, the missiles of the IRIS-T SLM complexes are equipped with active radar homing heads with high capabilities for detecting FAB gliding bombs with a reflecting surface of up to 0.2 - 0.3 sq. m. The forced deployment of IRIS-T in the front-line zone will lead to their accelerated destruction by strikes from Iskander-M, Lancet-3 and Tornado-S MLRS.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Tor-M2KM began to be installed on small missile ships. This is the latest modification of the air defense system, made according to the modular principle.
