The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Anton Alikhanov, visited the aviation plant in Ulan-Ude (part of the Russian Helicopters holding). He inspected the main production workshops of U-UAZ – assembly and final assembly, the holding's press service reported.
Alikhanov was shown the main stages of construction of Mi-8/171 family helicopters, and was also told about the technical re-equipment of the enterprise and modernization of infrastructure.
The Minister drew attention to the production of the Mi-171AZ multipurpose helicopter. The plant is currently assembling the first production models of rotary-wing machines.
Alikhanov also visited the U-UAZ aviation training center, where he was presented with complex helicopter simulators.
Pilots study various piloting and navigation modes on modern training complexes, and practice actions in various situations.
The Minister praised the prospects for loading the plant in the coming years, as well as the results of a large-scale modernization of production.
