The Russian company "Remdizel" (Naberezhnye Chelny) has begun developing a light chassis for an armored vehicle that will be supplied for export, according to the company's CEO, Alexander Zakharov.
It's clear that we are already loaded with state defense orders, but we are now developing documentation for such a chassis, which will be assembled abroad from foreign components.
Zakharov emphasized that "there's no point in shipping Russian components abroad." According to him, the company's engineers are focusing on the foreign aggregates market and preparing to assemble a new chassis.
Previously, Zakharov spoke about plans to create a lighter chassis compared to the "Akhmat", "Typhoon", and "Titan" families of armored vehicles. Such armored vehicles are needed by foreign clients due to the peculiarities of the region.
