В России разрабатываются единые стандарты для производителей микроэлектроники

They regulate what domestic equipment for electronic engineering should be like. Currently, there are no such standards in Russia

The International Scientific and Technological Center MIET has published a tender in the form of an open competition for the development of standards, with 26 million rubles allocated for these works. The winner of the competition is obliged to form at least 20 standardization documents for the design, production, and application of machines and equipment for the manufacture of microelectronics, microwave electronics, optoelectronics, power electronics, and other electronic engineering objects.

As explained to «CNews» at ISTC MIET, standardization is handled by the specialized technical committee formed in the summer of 2024. At the same time, "it is planned to start with the basic standards: to define the terminology and basic requirements for Russian equipment for the production of electronics". This is necessary in order to "ensure the compatibility of Russian equipment with each other, to unify individual blocks and interfaces".

The work planned includes:

  • developing and adjusting national and interstate standards in the field of electronic engineering;
  • analyzing existing standardization documents in the field of electronic engineering of the EAEU countries;
  • identifying and ranking promising areas for the sustainable development of the electronic engineering industry;
  • analyzing standardization documents in the field of electronic engineering of international organizations for standards in the field of electronic engineering;
  • surveying at least 30 organizations in the industry regarding their experience in applying standards in the development and production of electronic engineering products.

According to data provided by ISTC MIET, there are currently no standards for equipment for the production of microelectronics in Russia. Before the introduction and tightening of sanctions, it was purchased from abroad.

The presence of its own standards in Russia will not only help the development of technological sovereignty and import independence, but also reduce the cost and time of developing equipment for the production of microelectronics in the country, and improve its characteristics.
