The official portal of the Mayor and Government of Moscow published data on the production of high-tech products in the capital. It turned out that in the first six months of 2024, Moscow began to produce almost 102% more computers, optics and electronics compared to the first half of 2023.
The city supports the development of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries on behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, so they traditionally demonstrate growth. Thus, in the first half of 2024, Moscow manufacturers of computers, optics and electronics doubled their output, and the volume of goods shipped increased by more than 1.3 times. Moscow companies are successfully developing, registering patents and introducing innovative technologies. Currently, 300 thousand Muscovites are involved in the field of R&D.
If we consider the production of high-tech goods in pieces, then in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, the output increased:
- 1.7 times — diodes and transistors;
- more than 2.1 times — semiconductor devices and their parts;
- more than 3.7 times — network, sound and video cards;
- almost 4.7 times — computers, their components and accessories;
- 1.5 times — electronic computers and digital machines;
- 106.5 times — blocks and parts for computers.
Also, the production of security or fire alarm devices, the production of instruments and devices for measuring, monitoring and testing increased by more than 15%.
