Лучше, чем Bosch: российская компания «Итэлма» импортозаместила ESC для LADA Vesta

The manufacturer assures that the new domestic dynamic stabilization system is ready for difficult road conditions

Moscow-based NPP "Itelma" has announced the installation of its own ESC production on serial LADA Vesta. As the manufacturers told "RG", the tests of the new dynamic stabilization system to replace the previous one from Bosch took two years.

We have successfully fulfilled the customer's requirements, and in some respects, we have even achieved better results compared to the ESC system previously installed on LADA Vesta. This is an excellent result, and we are confident that with our ESC system, LADA Vesta drivers will feel much more comfortable in difficult road conditions.
Alexey Vorobyov, General Director of NPP "Itelma"

During the tests, the ESC hydraulic unit:

  • passed all tests on a vibration stand, in a climatic chamber at extreme temperatures from +105 to -40 °C, as well as long-term resource tests;
  • passed tests in regions with different climates, as well as on various surfaces, including off-road.

Also, during the tests, other systems ensuring the operation of ESC were calibrated: anti-skid and traction control systems, hill start assist, anti-lock braking system, emergency braking alarm function.

"Itelma" notes that it is currently actively pursuing a planned process of localizing ABS and ESC components. It is planned that soon 90% of the system components will be produced in Russia.
