Working in three shifts: Russian "Forsh" has replaced imported molds and dies for aviation and automotive industries

It won't be possible to conquer the entire market at once, but it will be possible to reduce import dependence on Turkey and China

The Ulyanovsk plant "Forsh" has launched new equipment for the production of large-sized molds and dies at its facilities. A large five-axis portal machining center will allow increasing the production of complex large-sized molds, dies and special tooling by at least 10% by the end of the year.

The new machine is part of the technological chain for the production of large molds and dies. Currently, it is 100% loaded, and work on it is organized in three shifts. Before contacting the IDF, our production capacity in 5-axis machining of large parts was limited and required development. The re-equipment of the machine park with a new center allows both to increase production volumes and reduces the possibility of disrupting orders due to unforeseen repairs of existing equipment.

The enterprise received a preferential loan of 80 million rubles from the federal Industrial Development Fund, while the total amount of funds required for the development of production amounted to more than 120 million rubles.

Now "Forsh" will be able to push China, Turkey and other countries on the Russian market of large-sized molds for mechanical engineering. Currently, about 75% of this market is occupied by foreign manufacturers.

According to the IDF, the molds and dies produced by Forsh are planned to be supplied primarily to the automotive industry, as well as the aviation, metallurgical and other industries. They will be able to cover dozens of areas: for example, domestic molds for bumpers, instrument panels, door upholstery, trunks, as well as other elements of the interior and exterior of the car will appear for automobile plants. Among the potential customers of such products are AvtoVAZ, KAMAZ, GAZ Group, UAZ, Il, Tupolev, UEC and the plants of the Rusal Group.
