The Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha, stated that the Citroen C5 Aircross, which is assembled at the "Automotive Technologies" plant in Kaluga, is "our car." The politician also noted that the former French partners should blame themselves.

As a reminder, mass production of Citroen C5 Aircross began in May of this year. The cars are assembled using the large-unit assembly method. Car kits come from China.
The assembly of cars is underway without the approval of the Stellantis concern, which left Russia in 2022. The French did not sue the Russian manufacturer. In the press, representatives of the concern called the assembly of cars in Russia piracy, emphasizing that the concern had lost control over the plant in Kaluga.
