Price higher than expected: Citroen C5 Aircross sales started in Russia

The crossover assembled at the PSMA Rus plant costs 4.3 million rubles

Sales of the Citroen C5 Aircross crossover, assembled at the PSMA Rus plant in Kaluga from Chinese vehicle kits, have started in Russia. The stated price turned out to be 300 thousand higher than previously announced. The crossover costs 4.3 million rubles, although in December they planned to sell it for 4 million rubles, and they promise a three-year warranty.

The car is available with a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 175 horsepower and an eight-speed robotic transmission. The Citroen C5 Aircross is offered in one configuration with six airbags, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, electric driver's seat, camera, as well as keyless entry with engine start button. The seats are trimmed with eco-leather and Alcantara.

Note that in the summer it is planned to increase the localization of production at the plant in Kaluga. The plans include painting the bodies independently. Currently, painted and welded bodies come from China from the Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen enterprise. In addition, in the summer, cars will be equipped with Russian tires and will be fitted with domestic glass and batteries.
