Платит за сбор отходов: умная мусорка появилась в Москве

Waste sorting machine operates on the basis of artificial intelligence

The first waste collection point with integrated artificial intelligence (AI) has started operating in Moscow. The device was developed by EcoPoint (a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation).

The device is equipped with a video camera and a weight sensor. They make it possible to recognize the quantity, quality and type of waste. AI sorts paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, books, magazines and plastic bottles.

It is important for us to participate in projects that popularize ecology and inspire people to engage in separate waste collection. The smart device helps to involve employees in the ESG agenda.
Anton Turchenko, CEO of EcoPoint

After recognizing the type of waste, the device sorts it into special separate containers. EcoPoint is open 24/7, and the user receives money in the fast payment system for сдачу вторсырья.

The purpose of the development is to popularize the culture of separate waste collection and improve the environment.

Earlier www1.ru reported that neural networks help sort waste from Nizhny Novgorod trains.
