"Titan-2 Concern" has started vertical planning of the area for the creation of Smolensk NPP power units. This was reported by the press service of Rosatom State Corporation.
After leveling and compacting the site, the stage of concreting the foundation slab of the first power unit reactor building is planned. For this, it is necessary to create engineering networks, treatment facilities, a concrete mixing unit, warehouses, administrative and amenity buildings, a reinforcement facility and other infrastructure.
We will begin the construction of infrastructure in 2025, as soon as the state examination of the project documentation for these facilities is completed, and we receive a construction permit.
According to Pavel Lubensky, Director of Smolensk NPP, Smolensk NPP-2 will help in the development of stations with water-cooled power reactors (VVER).
Earlier www1.ru reported that 11 new NPPs will be built in Russia in the next 18 years.
