"Titan-2 Concern" has begun vertical planning of the area for the creation of power units at the Smolensk NPP. This was reported by the press service of GK "Rosatom."
After leveling and compacting the site, the stage of concreting the foundation slab of the reactor building of the first power unit is planned. For this, it is necessary to create engineering networks, treatment facilities, a concrete mixing unit, warehouses, administrative and household buildings, a reinforcement facility and other infrastructure.
We will begin the construction of infrastructure in 2025, as soon as the state examination of the project documentation for these facilities is completed, and we receive a construction permit.
According to the Director of the Smolensk NPP, Pavel Lubensky, SAES-2 will help in the development of stations with water-cooled power reactors (VVER).
Earlier www1.ru reported that 11 new NPPs will be built in Russia over the next 18 years.
