At 08:53 Moscow time, the new Progress MS-28 cargo ship with a payload automatically docked with the Zvezda module of the Russian segment of the ISS. Progress MS-28 will spend 179 days in orbit, after which it will undock from the ISS, deorbit and burn up in the dense layers of the atmosphere.

In the meantime, it will serve the 71st long-term expedition to the ISS, which includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, and Alexander Grebenkin, NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeannette Epps, and Tracy Dyson, as well as the crew of the Starliner spacecraft (Boe-CFT flight) - NASA astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams.

The launch of the space truck this time was unusual: capsules with children's dreams of guests of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum were sent into space on board the Soyuz-2.1a rocket.
