Russia to Conduct Over 50 Launches Annually from Its Cosmodromes

Such plans were announced by the government. Additionally, the number of Russian satellites is expected to increase to 1,200 by 2030.

This was announced at a strategic session on the national project "Development of Space Activities of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030 and Prospects up to 2036."

By 2030, we need to increase the number of satellites in orbital constellations to 1,200 units. Increase the total number of launches from Russian cosmodromes to 56 per year.
Denis Mnturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

This space national project includes eight federal projects. They cover various aspects of space exploration, including the development of space nuclear power in Russia.

Earlier, Roscosmos noted that it plans to put about 1,700 Russian satellites of various purposes into orbit by 2030. According to the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, state resources alone will not be enough in this direction. By 2030, private companies will most likely help launch about 600 satellites, which is about 40% of the planned volume of the national orbital constellation. The new law on private investment in space will help with this.
