Russian military forces are using the LMUR multi-purpose subsonic tactical missile ("Product 305"), designated Kh-39, from Ka-52M helicopters. It is designed to engage weapon depots, command posts, and fortified structures.
The Kh-39 is an air-to-surface guided missile with a short range. It is equipped with a two-way communication system with the carrier and an autopilot, as well as a multi-spectral optoelectronic homing head with infrared sighting channels.
The missile can operate in two modes. The first mode involves the X-39 independently flying to a designated area, after which the operator locates the target and locks onto it. In the second mode, the target is searched for and acquired before launch, and after separation, it operates on a "fire-and-forget" principle.
The missile is built in a cylindrical body with a diameter of 200 mm and a length of less than 2 m. The launch weight is 105 kg, of which 25 kg is accounted for by the high-explosive fragmentation warhead. The solid-propellant rocket engine allows the missile to accelerate to 230 m/s. The maximum launch range is 14.5 km.
Earlier, the first footage of the Nadyusha multi-purpose tactical missile surfaced online. Its range is up to 300 km.
