The "Roselectronica" holding of the "Rostec" state corporation is demonstrating its modernized artillery and mortar battery control system for the first time at "Army-2024". At the request of customers, the dimensions and weight of the product have been reduced, and the wired connection has been replaced with data transmission via a special Wi-Fi channel. Now the complex weighs less than four kilograms. With its help, it is possible to work with both Russian, European, and Asian models of artillery and mortars.
The developers of the complex — the Penza "Radiozavod" (part of "Roselectronica") — note that it is capable of simultaneously managing heterogeneous groups and when using the entire range of ammunition. The equipment with a virtual assistance system provides complete preparation of data for firing, calculates firing parameters, and transmits them to performers to open fire in no more than 35 seconds.
The complex includes a software and hardware complex (PTK) for the commander and senior battery officer and a portable artillery kit for the gun commander.
The modernized commander's PTK includes a shockproof tablet and a portable radio station, all equipment is placed in a compact protective case with a total weight of less than 4 kg. The equipment can also be placed in a backpack or unloading vest. The commander's PTK, using data from artillery reconnaissance assets, such as radar stations and reconnaissance drones, calculates firing settings and transmits them to the gun commander. One commander's PTK can cover up to eight guns.
The portable artillery kit for the gun commander consists of a tablet computer and a radio station. Fire can be controlled from both devices.
The complex's radio stations belong to the 6th generation of communication equipment. They support data exchange and voice messages at a distance of up to 6 km. The radio stations are equipped with special removable Wi-Fi modules for wireless connection to the tablet in the complex, with a laser rangefinder and a weather kit.
The International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024" takes place in the "Patriot" Exhibition Center from August 12 to 14. This year, the "Army" forum is being held in a closed format for the first time: all entertainment events and free access to the expositions for visitors have been canceled.
