The "Radioelectronic Technologies" Concern (KRET, part of Rostec Group) presented an improved Mi-24P-1M combat helicopter at the "Army-2024" forum.
The presented helicopter is an improved version of the legendary Mi-24 attack helicopter. The modernization of the Mi-24P-1M affected almost all systems; only the fuselage and engines remained from the basic version. Integrated advanced technologies have previously demonstrated effectiveness on Mi-28NM and Ka-52 combat helicopters.
The Mi-24P-1M is equipped with a modern onboard defense system to protect pilots from various threats (missiles, anti-aircraft guns, electronic warfare). The modification also includes new electronic equipment. It includes a flight and navigation system, a targeting optical-electronic system, an AESA radar, and a full autopilot.
The Mi-24P-1M has increased maneuverability and the ability to fly at extremely low altitudes. This allows it to operate bypassing enemy radars in difficult terrain.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that new tactical missiles and optoelectronic modules were integrated into the Ka-52M helicopter system.
