"Kurganmashzavod" of the "High-Precision Complexes" holding (part of Rostec) presented at the Army-2024 military-technical forum a BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle with improved protection and mobility characteristics.
The equipment received additional protection kits, including anti-cumulative ammunition armor and lattice screens. The vehicles were equipped with devices to cover the upper hemisphere – a tubular frame, a net of textile cord and a metal screen. All this increases the combat survivability of the vehicle against UAV attacks.
Rostec noted that despite some increase in the weight of the BMP-3 with additional protection, the vehicle retained high mobility characteristics, as well as the ability to overcome water obstacles on the move.
The BMP-3 receives special capabilities when equipped with equipment for robotization. At the same time, the vehicle can operate normally under the control of the crew, remotely – from a remote control, as well as automatically – according to a given algorithm.
The BMP-3 also has an improved video surveillance system, which improves the visibility of the terrain for the driver.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Navy will receive two nuclear submarines "Knyaz Pozharsky" and "Arkhangelsk" by the end of 2024. They will undergo state tests, following which they will be transferred to the fleet.
