The Russian army is ready for the new realities of military conflicts – the active use of sea, air, and land drones by the enemy, including thanks to the efforts of the Rostec State Corporation. This was stated by Vladimir Artyakov, Deputy General Director of the corporation.
According to him, portable mini-radars are presented at the Army-2024 international military forum, which are capable of detecting unmanned boats (BEC) and providing early warning of an attack. Such locators, weighing about 25 kg, are mobile and easy to transport.
The Roselectronica holding (part of Rostec) is presenting the Surikat portable electronic warfare system for combating mini-drones for the first time. The complex is compact and fits into a soldier's unloading vest. The system detects and covers enemy UAVs with interference from several tens of meters away.
About the Surikat electronic warfare system
It consists of a detection and suppression module, as well as a battery. The weight of the kit is 2.75 kg. The electronic warfare system detects an enemy drone at a distance of at least 1 km. The device suppresses the target at a safe distance for humans – up to 300 m. Operating time in detection mode – 12 hours, suppression – 1.5 hours.
Roselectronica will also present the updated Lesochek electronic warfare system to forum guests, which can be installed on armored vehicles. Initially, the complex was developed to protect against radio-controlled explosive devices, but the new version is "sharpened" to counter drones.
